There's So Much to Love Around Northern Colorado in Fall

We can’t help but get excited at the first sign of leaves falling. Although this fall season may lack the usual number of fall festivities there is still a lot to admire and be excited about. For those of us that live in Northern Colorado, autumn brings a brilliance of color and flavors that will make you fall for fall. Here are just some of our favorite fall pastimes that we can still enjoy this year.

Prime Leaf Peeping: Golds, oranges and yellows burst along Northern Colorado’s landscape this time of year. Hikes become even more rewarding when you reach the top to a view of what could be a Bob Ross painting. If you prefer to stay off the rocks, enjoy a scenic ride along the Poudre Canyon or make your way through Rocky Mountain National Park for some of the best fall foliage our area has to offer.

Fall Flavored Craft Brews: Move over pumpkin spice latte! Some of Northern Colorado’s best breweries offer pumpkin ales and even beers made with seasonal ingredients like chiles, maple, cinnamon and other spices. It makes the perfect ending to a crisp autumn evening.

U-Pick Farms: Grab a basket or wagon to enjoy U-Pick opportunities at many of NoCo’s farms and orchards. Enjoy it as a family activity or even on a date. Bartels Farm in Fort Collins offers pumpkin picking and a number of photo props to preserve the memories. Enjoy a wagon ride and apple picking at Adam’s Apple Orchard & Country Store in Ault. Check websites for safety updates and hours.

Loveland Oktoberfest: This event is free to attend and has something for all ages!  Play games like hammerschlagen, Loveland Mobile Mini Golf, corn hole, carpet ball, ladder ball, washer toss, and more. There will be beer from several Loveland craft breweries and food from vendors, plus live local music. Loveland Oktoberfest will be celebrated on Friday, September 17 from 4:00 – 10:00 PM and Saturday, September 18 from Noon – 10:00 PM at Loveland Fairgrounds Park.
